17 February 2015, Johannesburg. The Film and Publication Board (FPB) in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education Ilembe District will host a three day outreach programme that will run from the 17 – 19 February 2015,  targeting 1250 learners and 300 Educators, as part of the roll out of it’s annual Back-2-School campaign. The outreach forms part of the departments Social Ills Campaign, whose slogan, “Be Part of the Change You Want to See,” encourages people to be part of the fight against social ills (drugs and substance abuse, domestic violence, alcohol, and teenage pregnancy) at Stanger High School in KwaDukuza.

11 February 2015, Johannesburg. The Film and Publication Board (FPB) notes complaints and concerns from certain sectors of society, regarding the 16 LNS rating of the Film 50 shades of Grey, in particular that the rating be increased to 18.

The Film and Publication Board (FPB) will launch its cyber-safety Back-2-School campaign at the Ster-Kinekor Head Offices in Sandton, Johannesburg on Safer Internet Day, 10 February 2015.

The Film and Publication Board’s (FPB) through its on-line monitoring activities became aware of the distribution of a You Tube video which contained classifiable elements.  The video was uploaded by Rabonni Church Ministries which showed young children being made to drink petrol.

After following internal disciplinary processes, the Film and Publication Board has dismissed two employees who were found guilty of attempting to steal an unclassified porn DVD entitled "Bush Pie 3" by a local film maker.
