04 June 2015, Johannesburg. The Film and Publication Board (FPB) in partnership with the University of Free State and Child Welfare Bloemfontein, will host a dialogue on 05 June 2015, on the protection of children online as part of the Child Protection Week activities in Bloemfontein.

The Film and Publication Board (FPB) will be extending the national public consultations. This is to give more South Africans an opportunity to give input on the Draft Online Regulation Policy. The consultations began in April. We are now identifying new dates and will be in a position to announce these soon.

24 April 2015, Since April 2015, the Film and Publication Board has been hosting national public consultations on the Online Draft Regulation Policy for input. During the consultation in Cape Town this week, the FPB engaged with the Right 2 Know (R2K) Campaign as well as members of the public on the draft policy and is awaiting the campaign’s inputs.

17 April 2015, Johannesburg. The Film and Publication Board (FPB) is conducting national public consultations to give South Africans the opportunity to provide input on the Draft Online Regulation Policy. The consultations began in April and run through June 2015.

3 March 2015, Johannesburg. The Film and Publication Board (FPB) will hold a media briefing on 4 March 2015 to launch the draft Online Regulatory Policy for public comment.

17 February 2015, Johannesburg. The Film and Publication Board (FPB) in partnership with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education Ilembe District will host a three day outreach programme that will run from the 17 – 19 February 2015,  targeting 1250 learners and 300 Educators, as part of the roll out of it’s annual Back-2-School campaign. The outreach forms part of the departments Social Ills Campaign, whose slogan, “Be Part of the Change You Want to See,” encourages people to be part of the fight against social ills (drugs and substance abuse, domestic violence, alcohol, and teenage pregnancy) at Stanger High School in KwaDukuza.
